FAQs
I’ve answered several commonly asked questions below. If you have any additional questions or you’d like to book a lesson, please get in touch.
Drum Lessons
-
I teach my private drum lessons at South Street Studios in Ipswich. South Street Studios is home to a recording studio, The Smokehouse music venue and several well-equipped rehearsal and teaching rooms.
The studios are a short walk from the town centre (just around the corner the corner from Coes on Norwich Road), next to the Norwich Road Shoppers car park.
I also teach at Colchester High School. However, the lessons there are exclusively available for its students.
-
Lessons at South Street Studios cost:
• £23.50 per 30 minute session
• £35.00 per 45 minute sessionLessons can be paid for on a lesson by lesson basis or in blocks of four. I accept payment by cash or bank transfer.
-
Lessons can be cancelled or rearranged without charge up to 24 hours before they are scheduled to take place.
Missed lessons and lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged at the full lesson’s rate.
If you need to cancel please let me know as soon as possible. If I know in advance that you won’t be able to attend your lesson it frees up the slot for someone else.
There is no obligation to continue having lessons after the first lesson.

The transcriptions take quite a bit of time to do so I can’t transcribe everything (unfortunately).
If you’d like to suggest a song for me to transcribe, you can do so here.

Oops! It does happen.
If a drum part is unclear, I will refer to live versions of the track or use my own judgment to come up with an appropriate part. A transcription is just a guide after all.
But it could just be a mistake! Let me know about it, and if I agree, I'll update the transcription.
