In the intro and pre-choruses you’ll notice the groove features “click sticks”. You can see how Jared Champion plays it live here.
The verses, guitar solo and middle 8 are all in half-time (the back-beat is on beat 3 rather than the usual 2 and 4).
The middle 8 of the song is in three parts which I’ve called “guitar solo”, “instrumental” and “middle 8”. That final section is pretty chaotic so go crazy if you so desire!
The song is pretty fast so take it slow. Lock in the feel of the song before pushing the tempo.
