Great song! Short and sweet, straight to the point.

A few things to watch out for:

  • The chorus groove (bar 23) is quite tricky. It’s based on an offbeat groove with open hi-hats and bass drums on the “+”s. There are extra hi-hats on the “1” and “3” — you could leave those out without really changing the flow of the groove.

  • The groove in the second half of the chorus (bar 31) adds a couple of extra hi-hats on the “1e” and “3e”. Also tricky to play, but sounds great.

  • At the end of bar 37 you’ll see the words “D.S. al Coda”. This means return to the sign at the beginning of bar 5 and play until the words “To Coda” at the end of bar 35. On the first time through the song you should ignore the “To Coda” instruction — that instruction only becomes active once you’ve followed the “D.S. al Coda” instruction. Once you reach the “To Coda” instruction at the end of the second chorus you skip to the Coda symbol at the beginning of bar 38. If you have any doubts about the structure, listen to the song!
